Midwest Horse Welfare Foundation

The Midwest Horse Welfare Foundation (MHWF) is dedicated to providing qualified homes for any horse in need.  It is our goal to make sure that every horse placed in our care is equipped with all the necessary ingredients for a safe and happy life.  We want each horse to be protected from those who would do it harm.

Each horse will receive our full efforts to ensure that it never ends up in the auction ring or on the slaughterhouse floor. We promise to do our best to provide only the best homes with dedicated families for every animal we place.

Everyone involved in our program is a volunteer.  100% of all donations and adoption fees go back into the care of another needy horse.  MHWF is a network of equine advocates working together to improve the lives of horses who wound up in transition in their lives, and show by example that adoption horses are just as great as any other horse out there.  Adoption saves lives.  MHWF also participates in 1-Day Open Door Shelters for Horses each year, which helps many horses and their owners who have nowhere to turn.  We hope to launch a few free or low-cost gelding clinics shortly as well.

MHWF is always in need of Purina Equine Senior feed, and that can be as easy as a phone call to the Central Wisconsin Country Store (715-387-1045) and tell them you want to purchase a bag or two for the horses of the Midwest Horse Welfare Foundation.
