Field of Dreams Horse Rescue and Adoption is a 501(c)3 based in St Charles, IL. Our horses reside at Silver Spur Ranch in Maple Park, where a dedicated team of volunteers works with and cares for them daily. Field Of Dreams was established in 2005 when our founders recognized a need for public education and rescue/rehabilitation of the neglected and unwanted horses in northern Illinois. Since our inception, we have grown into a highly professional and well-respected organization run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries recently awarded us Verification status and accepted into the Equine Welfare Network.

When space and finances permit, we accept abused, abandoned, and neglected equines. We also accept healthy horses donated by loving owners who, for reasons beyond their control, can no longer provide proper care.
Field of Dreams is not a sanctuary – we strive to find responsible and loving homes for all rescues in our care. We believe every equine has value, and the right person is out there looking for a horse that matches the needs of one of our rescues.
Field of Dreams works in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Agriculture to investigate complaints and allegations of improper animal care to ensure compliance with the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act. If you are concerned about the welfare of a horse, please contact us at [email protected]. An Approved Humane Investigator sponsored by Field of Dreams Horse Rescue & Adoption will look into the matter. All calls and emails will remain confidential.
